Delta Unveils Microgrid Solutions and the Newly Launched SST-based DC Power System for the AI Era at Energy Taiwan 2026.
PR Newswire
TAIPEI, Oct. 14, 2026
The debuting prefabricated SST-based Power System reduces on-site deployment time by up to 50%.
TAIPEI, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Delta, a global leader in power management and smart green solutions, is unveiling its latest Microgrid Solutions for AI factories, high-density computing, and smart manufacturing at Energy Taiwan 2026 under the theme “Resilient Energy, Powering the AI Future.” The showcase includes the debut of its prefabricated solid-state transformer (SST)-based DC power system, featuring a containerized SST integrated with DC/DC converters and control equipment, to reduce power conversion stages in key applications, as well as a modular design to shorten on-site deployment time by up to 50%. Other highlights include on-site power generation solutions-solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC), energy storage, and intelligent dispatch with off-grid operation capabilities to help customers strengthen energy resilience and efficiency.
Patrick Zhao, Vice President and General Manager of Delta’s Energy Infrastructure Business Group, stated, “The rapid expansion of AI computing is redefining enterprise requirements for energy infrastructure. Microgrids integrate grid power, on-site generation, energy storage, and loads to match supply with demand in real time. Our prefabricated SST-based DC power system supports next-generation power architecture for the AI era. Moreover, we recently partnered with The Great Taipei Gas Corporation to develop Taiwan’s first 550 kW SOFC demonstration site using locally manufactured equipment. On Delta’s 55th anniversary, we continue to work with industry partners to help enterprises build next-generation energy infrastructure that delivers greater energy autonomy, resilience, and efficiency.”
Integrating SST-Based Power Conversion for Scalable AI Infrastructure
Designed for AI factories and HPC data centers, Delta’s prefabricated SST-based DC power system integrates Delta-developed SSTs with energy efficiency of up to 98.5%, DC/DC converters, and control equipment to play a critical role in power conversion within a microgrid, improving energy efficiency from grid to chip by up to 4–5% in AI data centers. Depending on site requirements, the system can also incorporate a high C-rate battery to respond rapidly to AI load fluctuations, delivering millisecond-level power support to help maintain stable power delivery to the loads. In addition, the modular and prefabricated design reduces on-site wiring, installation, and system commissioning work, helping customers accelerate AI infrastructure deployment while preserving flexibility for future capacity expansion.
Strengthening Energy Resilience with SOFC On-Site Power Generation
Delta’s SOFC solution provides stable, low-carbon on-site power generation and can be integrated with the utility grid, energy storage systems, and other energy resources to reduce reliance on a single power source and support a more flexible energy supply. SOFC generates electricity through an electrochemical process and, when combined with heat recovery, SOFC system can achieve an overall energy efficiency of up to 85%. For AI data centers, manufacturing facilities, and critical infrastructure operating around the clock, distributed generation helps strengthen energy resilience. Delta plans to begin trial production by the end of 2026.
During the exhibition, Delta will also host a series of expert presentations at its booth, featuring speakers from the Industrial Technology Research Institute’s (ITRI) Green Energy and Environment Research Laboratories, Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER), as well as its own smart energy and microgrid experts. The presentations include Delta’s ESG Consulting Office’s EnergiQ, a digital platform paired with energy-saving consulting services and designed to comply with the ISO 50001 energy management methodology. EnergiQ leverages high-consumption equipment and system identification, EnPI setting and tracking, energy baseline establishment, energy efficiency project monitoring, and performance tracking to help enterprises establish a comprehensive energy management process.
Delta is exhibiting its complete microgrid solutions at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1, 4F (Booth M0319a) from October 14 to 16. We welcome media stakeholders, customers, partners, and the general public to experience “Resilient Energy, Powering the AI Future” with Delta.
