13 Days by Teresa Wills Gipson Explores the Mysterious Line Between Love, Loss, Faith, and the Battles None Can See

“13 Days by Teresa Gipson”

Florida, USA – September 15, 2026 – What if the greatest threat to the person you love is something you cannot see, cannot reason with, and cannot defeat by love alone?

In 13 Days, author Teresa Wills Gipson presents an emotionally layered story of love, addiction, faith, grief, and spiritual endurance. At its center are Addyson and Ian, two people shaped by very different wounds who find in one another something neither expected: belonging.

Ian carries losses that began in childhood and followed him quietly into adulthood. Behind professional ambition and an outwardly successful life lies pain he has never fully confronted, along with a dependence on alcohol that becomes increasingly difficult to separate from the memories and emotions it was meant to silence. Addyson, meanwhile, knows what it means to feel unwanted and undervalued. Yet she possesses an extraordinary capacity to care for others, even while struggling to recognize her own worth.

Their relationship becomes more than a love story. As the years unfold, questions begin to surface about suffering, addiction, marriage, forgiveness, and the mysterious forces that can work beneath the visible circumstances of a life.

Then everything changes.

As Ian’s condition becomes increasingly grave, medicine confronts questions it cannot easily answer, faith is tested against devastating reality, and Addyson must determine what it truly means to stand beside someone when the outcome is no longer hers to control.

With elements of inspirational fiction, family drama, romance, and spiritual suspense, 13 Days asks readers to look beyond appearances. What looks like weakness may conceal an old wound. What appears hopeless may still contain purpose. And sometimes the most important battle taking place in a person’s life is the one no one else can see.

At once intimate and mysterious, 13 Days is ultimately a story about the endurance of love, the consequences of unresolved pain, and faith when certainty disappears.

About the Author

Teresa Wills Gipson began writing 13 Days shortly after the death of her husband, Johnny, in 2003. The character of Ian was inspired in part by Johnny’s struggle with addiction during their marriage. After completing the first draft, Gipson set the manuscript aside for approximately two decades while remaining active in women’s and children’s church ministries.

Following her retirement from her career as a Florida Registered Paralegal, she returned to the story and further developed Addyson’s character, drawing inspiration from experiences shared by women she encountered through ministry.

Teresa Wills Gipson resides in Green Cove Springs, Florida, and continues her writing journey with her second book, A Widow’s Walk.
