Camilla Corsi, Head of Crop Protection Research & Development at Syngenta, is the winner of the prestigious 2026 American Chemical Society (ACS) International Award for Research in Agrochemicals. The ACS Fall Meeting, starting today, will hold a symposium in her honor to recognize her influential leadership and contributions to the discovery of the fungicide pydiflumetofen (ADEPIDYN® technology); the insecticides isocycloseram (PLINAZOLIN® technology) and spiropidion (TINIVION® technology); as well as the novel SDHI (succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor) nematicide cyclobutrifluram (TYMIRIUM® technology).

Camilla Corsi, Syngenta Head of CP Research & Development
Together, Syngenta’s ADEPIDYN®, PLINAZOLIN® and TYMIRIUM® technologies represent a new generation of crop protection treatments, delivering powerful disease, pest and nematode control across a wide range of crops and geographies.
A chemist by training, Corsi joined Syngenta in 2004, holding leadership roles in Research & Development. In January 2025, Corsi became head of Crop Protection Research & Development, an organization of more than 3,000 scientists, technologists and regulatory experts spread across 51 countries, including four world-class research sites. Corsi was appointed to Syngenta Group’s extended Global Leadership Team in January 2025 and is a member of the company’s Innovation Board.

Originally from Italy, Corsi has a graduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Florence, Italy, and holds a PhD from University College London, UK. She co-sponsors Syngenta’s Women Leading in Science network, is a keen advocate for women and girls in STEM, and for the next generation of female science leaders.
