“This transformative gift—the largest ever made to women’s sports at Lynn University—will elevate our growing softball program and create lasting opportunities for our student-athletes,” said Kevin M. Ross, president of Lynn University. “We are deeply grateful for Tish’s generosity and commitment to our students.”
Tish Celenza Messinger Stadium was completed this spring—just in time for the 2026 Lynn Softball season. The new stadium boasts synthetic turf, modern dugouts and an elevated press box with advanced technology. The stadium accommodates more than 200 spectators.
“Tish’s impact can be felt across campus,” said Lynn Director of Advancement Lisa Miller. “She is a deeply engaged member of our community who actively supports the university’s strategic priorities, from student-athletes to the Lynn University Conservatory of Music. Tish is passionate about creating opportunities for students and seeing firsthand how her support changes lives.”
Messinger’s previous gifts have included aid for student necessities, significant support for scholarships and annual donations. Her latest contribution is a major investment in the growth of the softball program and its players.
Softball is one of the university’s long-standing programs with over 20 years of competition in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC). Notable accomplishments include 50 SSC Softball All-Conference honors, four softball All-Americans and three alumni who went pro. Lynn’s NCAA Division II Fighting Knights athletics programs have won 27 national championships.
“I’ve been the head coach for four years, but with a new stadium and expanded scholarship support, the excitement truly feels like day one again,” said Lynn softball coach Cassidy Pickett. “This investment creates incredible momentum for our program and opens the door for us to recruit and develop exceptional student-athletes.”
