New York, NY – Author and educator John Infortunio is bringing deeply personal experiences to the page with his two gripping psychological thrillers, Today Was Tomorrow and Destroyed by the Events of the Day. Drawing from his background in education and his own family history, Infortunio crafts emotionally charged stories that explore identity, memory, loss, and the devastating impact of buried secrets.
“Both books mean a great deal to me as they are a sharing of my childhood, growth, and maturity into adulthood,” John shared.
Today Was Tomorrow explores themes of memory, loss, and the intricate bonds of family. Shortly after the sudden death of his wife, Peter Sutphin finds himself grappling with grief and the complexities of his family legacy. When his father, David, a celebrated novelist suffering from Alzheimer’s, requests a seemingly simple favor, Peter is drawn into a web of hidden truths.
Set at a prestigious prep school, Destroyed by the Events of the Day follows English teacher Michael Cloughey after his violent outburst against a student uncovers a troubling history of anger and abuse. As the incident sparks devastating consequences throughout the school community, Michael uncovers a major scandal involving the principal and school board chairman. With the truth threatening powerful figures, Michael and his brother become targets of those determined to keep the secret buried.
